Light Bee X does not identify one fixed generation

The Light Bee X name spans several updates. This British MY26 version lists 10 kW, a 72 V battery, and 59 kg. Those specifications do not describe every Light Bee X already in use. A 2019 review or used-bike listing should not be treated as a specification sheet for this model.

The Light Bee 2 documented in Canada and New Zealand lists 24 kW in Turbo and approximately 65 kg. This comparison identifies its source markets; it does not promise that every European distributor delivers those exact configurations.

Six kilograms and a different energy reserve

The claimed weight difference is about 6 kg. It is less dramatic than the power gap, but useful when considering transport and handling the bike while stationary. Both specifications put the seat near 830 mm; similar seat height does not establish an identical riding position.

Sur-Ron UK lists 2.5 kWh for the Light Bee X, compared with 3.53 kWh for the Light Bee 2. The latter therefore carries more nominal battery energy. Converting that directly into additional miles would be misleading because the rider may use the bike’s capabilities differently.

Look beyond the motor

The MY26 Light Bee X remains a compact package with listed 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. When comparing actual offers, record tires, suspension adjustments, and electronic equipment too. Together with ergonomics, these shape the riding experience.

The Light Bee 2’s 24 kW figure refers to Turbo. It does not describe unlimited output in every condition. Have the seller explain the modes instead of treating maximum power as the default riding setting.

Match the update to a real need

The MY26 Light Bee X is worth considering when low weight and a more moderate advertised output are priorities. Shortlist the Light Bee 2 when its energy reserve and additional capability address a defined use. Neither has to win every category.

For a useful introduction, use the same authorized riding area, protective gear, and evaluation criteria. Record low-speed behavior and how the motorcycle feels at a standstill. Those situations often reveal whether the bike and rider are a good match.
